after waiting for about an hour and a half, the food was at best mediocre. I wont allow myself to be disappointed by this again.

Unfortunately our order was not seen for 2 hours so we waited 2 1/2hours for our meal. We were offered an apology and a discount for our next order. However we will not be ordering again as the food was not worth the wait. The curry didn’t even taste like curry, the meat.. chicken and beef were dry and tough. It just wasn’t very pleasant. Which is a shame as we used to be regular customers. So when our usual takeaway was closed for Chinese New Year, we thought we would go back to our old favourite. All in all the food and service was not up to standard and we can not justify waiting so long and it costing so much for food that we didn’t like.
Sorry Hot Wok but our experience was disappointing.

The dinner was realy good, very tasty in all ways, and super service from the staff at Hot Wok.
Please if you want something good, then visit Hot Wok at any time.

Ordered and paid for food at 18.20 and at 19.30 it still hadn't been delivered. I called them and they said they didn't get the order until 18.45. The food arrived just after 20.00. Very disappointed in the time it took.
REPLY FROM HOT WOK: WE ARE VERY SORRY YOU EXPERIENCED LATE DELIVERY BUT HALF THE TAKEAWAYS ON ISLE OF MAN WAS CLOSED THAT DAY SO WE WERE EXTREMELY BUSY.

Always brilliant, tasty food but..
Lately their service has been a little lax, had to ring them a couple of times for them to actually notice the Manx Dining order, then it took even longer to arrive.
Hopefully this is due to a higher volume of customers that they're currently struggling to cope with rather than lazy staff.
I will continue to use Hot Wok purely because it is most definitely the best Chinese on the island in my opinion, but I wouldn't order if I needed it ASAP at it has taken over 2 hours more times than should be acceptable.

Yes, they do serve the best Chinese food on the IOM.
However, they can't handle the online orders at all. I've used them twice online now and both times have been a nightmare.
I didn't receive my confirmation email after half an hour - so I rang up to check - only then did she look at the system and the confirmation came through immediately.
Then I waited an hour and a half.
Then after all that they forgot my rice!
I've rang up and ordered before too, they're pretty rude and you still wait ages.
You're better off just driving down and picking up your food from them. Anything else and you can pretty much guarantee they're going to get it wrong.
